Your Energy Doesn't Drop With Age


Just recently I was looking back at my university years and was wondering: How the h*ll did I manage all that?

I was a full-time student, had two jobs, was an organizer of numerous international and local youth events. By the time I turned 21 I had visited 16 countries. And somehow in between all that I managed to have fun, the one that university students are supposed to have at that age.

Well, it wasn’t just a random nostalgia. I was wondering, whether it would ever be possible to bring back the level of productivity that I used to have in my early twenties.

In my thirties it seemed like the ship had sailed. And that is what the majority believes - the older you get, the less energy you have.

But I simply didn’t want to believe in it. I was searching, experimenting and trying, failing, trying again, failing again, but tried even more.

I am the energy coach here. Am I not?😎

Fast forward to today when I am 34.

I changed countries, restarted my life from scratch. I have my coaching practice, IT business development contracts, and I recently started working in PR, which itself has 6 parallel projects to manage.

And I don’t call it work. I call it FUN! 🤩

Now I am looking back at that 20-year old me, and thinking “Girl, you are just starting!”

Thus the two things I want to point out here:

First,

Energy doesn’t fade with years. YOU are in control of your energy at any age.

Second,

When you put more on your plate, pay 3x more attention to your energy levels.

Because on high speed and at a greater scale each and every action has more influence over the whole picture.

If you do it right - you produce more value and results.
If you do it wrong (and you’ll do it anyway) - you will face bigger challenges to deal with.

And often a fear of bigger challenges is the number one thing that holds us back from doing what we have always wanted to or dreamt of. Yet when we have high energy, we become confident in surviving and not collapsing from any major challenge, so we loose that fear.

Therefore, when I have so much on my plate, I really want to strengthen my routines that keep me in a high energy mode.

Now more than ever I need and want to make sure I sleep well, eat well, move my body and recover - to maintain the capacity of my body to handle new pressure.

Now more than ever I need to have a support system of friends, loved ones and my therapist - to maintain the emotional stability that will allow me to take risks and unconventional actions.

Now more than ever I need to understand what is important and what really brings me joy. So that I take on new projects not just to keep me busy, but to bring me joy and energy from doing what I love.

Now more than ever I need to maintain my spiritual presence, to remember, why I do it all, and how my actions influence the universe that I am a part of.

I’ll be keeping an eye on my energy levels.
