I broke every promise

Hello, friend.

Sorry for a radio silence here.

You see, I promised to show up here every Wednesday. But I haven't.

Not because I didn't want to. I could not.

Apart from generally adjusting to my new life in the USA, I had a move and a sudden opportunity I simply couldn't reject. Which led me to another opportunity, then another.

Two weeks later I am working 20 hours per day, 7 days per week. And while it sounds like the opposite from what I preach, I am happy. Really happy.

Cause I made a quantum leap, which I haven't expected.

While I am not ready to share details yet, I'll tell you this: I am living my dream. The dream of that sort that you think will happen only far in the future.

But here it is. I am living it now and trying to comprehend what has happened to me and how. Cause it sounds like magic.

Since you are on this newsletter, I assume we are similar.

We want better lives. We want progress. We want to reach that next level. And maybe make something, what everybody else thinks is impossible, yet we know it is possible.

But the other similar thing we might share - we forget that

Making 10x progress in one area of life may drastically decrease the results in other areas for a while.

And that is totally ok.

You see, our capacity is like a bucket. It can fit so much water. So if we want to have more, we'd better upgrade that bucket to a bigger tank. And it is a project of its own.

We all have 24 hours per day. But some people manage to produce X results, while others can do 10x or even 100x.

And it doesn't mean better or worse.

Bigger projects require bigger capacity.

The good news is, your capacity is not a solid number. It can both decrease and increase.

And you are in charge!

Any time I have this kind of leap to a new level, I know that my capacity stretched. It increased and now I can fit more in my day, produce more value in an hour, and aim for bigger projects and dreams.

And I value this growth so much, that I give myself some slack for a while. I try not to punish myself for failing in other areas of life. Because I know, that when I adjust to a new me, I'll do it all. I just have to give myself some time to get used to a new norm.

So today with this email I want to tell you two things:

  1. I am sorry for leaving you hanging here. While I know it will happen again in a future, I will make sure, it doesn't till I have a VERY good reason for that.
  2. Next time you are making some big progress in life, please, give yourself some slack if other areas of your life feel like failing.

Because you are not. It's basically you are redirecting your energy from certain projects into your next big one. Sort of an investment that will pay off very soon. You have to cut your spending to make a portfolio that will work for you in the future.

You are ok. You are enough.

You will make it happen, when you are able to.

And that doesn't mean today or overnight. It might take you months, years till you grow your capacity to manage and deal with a couple of parallel projects. Or take on big ones, that you've never taken before.

You will get there.

Keep up your good work.

See you on Wednesday. And I mean it :)
